DeltAg Wildlife, a division of DeltAg Formulations, brings the Forage Maker System to the wildlife industry. At DeltAg, we have utilized this approach to crop nutrient chemistry since 1988. This system approach focuses on the SOIL, SEED and PLANT. After many years working with American Farmers in real life situations, we have found this concept to be a solid foundation for consistent crop performance. To enhance the soil environment is to generate the potential for a better crop. To create more vigor in emergence of seedlings and better roots in a healthier soil, creates the prospects of reaching the potential created by this three step approach. In other words, “build crop performance…from the ground up!”

Soil Solution: Liquid Concentrate; Available in 32 Ounce Bottle. This will treat one acre when incorporated. The standard rate is 32 ounces per acre broadcast, diluted in enough water for ample coverage, usually five to ten gallons total volume per acre. The best method is to apply Soil Solution at the same time that you plant. It can be applied before or after the seed and incorporated with the seed. Shallow incorporation will enhance the soil environment initially in the rooting zone and will work its way down over time. Normal response, if it is watched closely, is three to four weeks the first time it is incorporated. Soil Solution may be applied in No-Till situations with great success, but will depend on rain incorporation as well as the need for the higher rate of 64 ounces per acre.

Seed Coat: Dry Seed Treatment; Available in Four Ounce Pouch and Three Pound Pail (4 Oz scoop included). Recommended rate is 4 ounces per 50 pounds of seed. It is very difficult to overdose because only so much will adhere to the seed surface and surplus product will go to the ground or into the air. Simple to use: Pour the pouch contents or one scoop into the bag of seed, shake the bag and dump into the hopper. You will see that it does a great job of covering the seed with very little effort. On smaller seed in smaller bags, excess is not a problem, but you will see when working with Seed Coat, a very small amount goes a long way to cover seed. The more agitation, the more seed the product will cover.

Plant Power: Liquid Concentrate; Available in 32 Ounce Bottle. This will treat one acre in one application. This is a foliar product and is designed to be applied broadcast at 32 ounces per acre to the foliage. It should be dilute in enough water for ample coverage (5 to 10 gallons total volume). For best results, make an application after the first true leaves have formed and are at least the size of a nickel. Then follow with a second application in two or three weeks. If the crop is under stress, a second application ten days after the first application will have a bigger impact. Results are healthier, greener plants, usually in a three or four days.

IMPORTANT: Plant Power may be, and is often applied with glyphosate materials over RR crops like soybeans and corn. You should see a healthier crop and a more complete kill of the weeds.
